A parked Aerolíneas Argentinas was moved by 90 degrees due to heavy winds in Buenos Aires.

According to reports, the incident took place in the middle of the strong gusts of wind that exceeded 140 kilometers per hour.

Footage shared on the internet shows the Boeing 737 parked in the middle of the runway even with a service ladder next to it. In a matter of seconds, the wind rotated the aircraft for several meters.

Visuals from the Aeropuerto Internacional Ministro Pistarini (EZE), where heavy winds of Tornado moved a parked Aerolineas Argentinas Boeing B737-76N aircraft (LV-CAD / October 2006 delivered) in the gate. Aircraft received damages to the left wing leading edge.

Dozens of aircraft were also damaged due to the storm with the Argentine flag carrier alone confirming that 16 of its planes were inoperable after the storm, due to object impacts or lightning strikes.

Multiple footage were shared on the internet with one of them showing how the wind turned another Aerolíneas Argentinas aircraft.

As a result of the strong storm that affected the entire Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires, as many as six dozen flights were canceled both in Aeroparque and at Ezeiza airport.
