KLM flight to Bogota returned to Amsterdam.
The Boeing 787-10 departed Amsterdam Schiphol at 10:10 on December 6th, 2023 from runway 36L for a 10 hour-flight to Bogota.
But a bit more then 1 hour into the flight, while cruising at 32,000 ft, the crew reported an engine issue.
Before crossing the Atlantic, pilots contacted Shannon Oceanic and turned around.
The Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner had to dump fuel over the Ocean prior to landing in order to reduce weight.
The aircraft (reg. PH-BKA) performing the flight is 4 years old.
KLM flight #KL741 landed back at Amsterdam runway 06 about 2h30 after departure.
The leg Bogota-Cartagena is cancelled.
