An American Eagle flight encountered a pressurization issue during forcing pilots for a rapid descent.
An American Eagle Embraer ERJ145 aircraft suffered a pressurization issue during the flight between Charlotte (CLT) and Gainesville (GNV) on August 10, 2023.

Pilots of the flight #AA5916 detected the issue and oxygen masks dropped for the passengers.
The plane (reg. N922AE) descended from 30,000 ft at 20:06 UTC to 10,000 ft 20:14 UTC according to RadarBox data.
In a statement, an American Airlines spokesperson confirmed the incident:
“American Eagle flight 5916, operated by Piedmont Airlines, from Charlotte (CLT) to Gainesville, Florida (GNV), landed safely in GNV on Thursday, August 10. While in flight, the crew received an indication of a possible pressurization issue and immediately and safely descended to a lower altitude. We apologize to our customers for any inconvenience and thank our team for their professionalism.”
