United flight from Christchurch to San Francisco is diverting to Hawaii.

United Airlines flight #UA731 departed Christchurch at 19:16 NZDT for a 13 hours and 10 minutes flight to San Francisco.

The Boeing 787-8 (registration N20904) is descending to Hawaii due to a technical issue ib the aircraft.

The last leg HNL-SFO is canceled.
