Dubai, UAE – 17 November 2025 – Emirates has announced a major order for 65 additional Boeing 777-9 aircraft powered by GE9X engines, valued at US$38 billion at list prices. The deal was unveiled on the opening day of the Dubai Airshow 2025.
With this new commitment, Emirates’ total Boeing backlog rises to 315 widebody aircraft, including 270 Boeing 777Xs, 10 Boeing 777 Freighters, and 35 Boeing 787s. The airline’s GE Aerospace orderbook now totals 540 GE9X engines, including the 130 added today. The purchase represents a significant long-term investment in U.S. aerospace manufacturing and supports thousands of high-skilled jobs across the United States.
The agreement also reinforces Emirates’ support for Boeing’s feasibility study of the proposed 777-10, a larger-capacity variant of the 777X family. Emirates secured options enabling it to convert part of the new 777-9 order to either the 777-10 or 777-8.
