After three years on the ground, the Airbus A380 prototype MSN001 was airborne for few hours over France

After remaining three years on the ground, the Airbus A380-841 MSN001 took to the skies.

The Airbus A380-800, with registration F-WWOW, departed Airbus base in Toulouse Friday, March 14 2025 at 10:09 CET for a test flight.

The aircraft climbed to 20,000ft then 31,000ft and 43,000ft. It circled close to Toulouse and finally landed 3 hours later with callsign AIB59OW.

The goal of that new serie of flights is to test a new fuel.

This first prototype was unveiled in Toulouse on 18 January 2005, commencing its first flight on 27 April 2005.
