Delayed and canceled flights are rising at the Denver International Airport as fog lingers on Friday morning.
The Federal Aviation Administration issued a ground stop at the Denver International Airport just after 7 a.m. due to the fog and “low ceilings.” Over an hour later at 8:45 a.m., the ground stop was lifted.
While the ground stop was lifted, flights are still being delayed.
Delay is applied to departures from Canadian airports: CYHZ CYOW CYUL CYYZ.
Aircraft departing from Denver International are being sprayed with deicing fluid to remove snow and ice.
At 08:30, the visibility was still only 1/8 mile with ceiling at 100 ft.
