British Airways flight from London Heathrow to Toronto was forced to turn around.

The British Airways flight BA93 was operated by a Boeing 777-200ER on Tuesday, February 13 2024.

The aircraft departed London Heathrow runway 27L at 12:25 GMT for a 7-hour flight to Toronto.

Over one hour into the flight, before crossing the Atlantic, the pilots contacted Shannon ATC about a medical situation on board.

One of the crew member needed medical attention then the Captain decided to return to base.

The planed landed on runway 27L at London Heathrow 2 hours and 49 minutes after departure.

The crew member required medical assistance upon landing.

The same aircraft, with registration G-YMMO, departed to Toronto 4 hours later as flight BAW9L.
