Munich airport suspends flights amid heavy snowfall.

Heavy snowfall hit southern Germany on Friday night and continued on Saturday, causing major disruptions at Munich Airport, the second-busiest hub in the country.

Heavy snow submerged the Bavarian capital, with public transport also suspended.

Due to the continuing heavy snowfall, there will be no air traffic until 6 a.m., December 3.

760 flights scheduled for Saturday have been canceled, the German DPA news agency reported.

As much as 30-40 centimeters (roughly 12-15 inches) of snow expected in places, “a large portion of that within a period of 12 hours overnight into Saturday.
