Air France flight AF174 to Mexico City returned to Paris CDG after the crew detected a technical issue.

The flight departed Paris CDG at 16:05 CEST for a 11 hour-flight to Mexico City.

After 4h30 of flight, while cruising at 39,000 ft over St John’s, the crew decided to turn around following a technical problem and the impossibility of a repair at MEX.

The flight was operated by an Airbus A350-900 (registration F-HUVC) with 260 passengers on board, 3 pilots and 10 commercial crew.

The aircraft landed normally at 01h50am local time on May 9th at Paris Charles de Gaulle after 9 hours and 35 minutes of flight.

As the flight is cancelled, Air France teams based in Paris Charles de Gaulle met and assisted passengers to find hotel accommodation solutions and new flight as soon as possible.
