Torino Airport is closed due to an incident.

No arrivals at Torino Airport, Italy.

One of the Frecce Tricolori aircraft has crashed right after takeoff. It looks the plane has suddenly lost thrust.

The pilot has ejected.

The Frecce Tricolori, officially known as the 313° Gruppo Addestramento Acrobatico, Pattuglia Acrobatica Nazionale Frecce Tricolori, is the aerobatic demonstration team of the Italian Air Force.

The Italian Aerobatic team is using Aermacchi MB-339 aircraft.

The pilot is alive but a 5-year-old girl was killed by the flames. She was with her family on the edge of the runway. A nine-year-old boy, probably the victim’s brother, was burned by the flames, like his mother and father.

All were hospitalized in Turin hospitals. The pilot was also taken to hospital.

The runway is blocked until 22:00 UTC on Sunday.

High delays are expected.
