All-time heat record has been just recorded in Spain.

València airport, Spain just recorded 46.8°C (116°F). This beats the previous all-time heat record by over 3°C.

The previous record was 43.4°C from July 1986.

 

The Valencian Community (population of 5 million) is experiencing its hottest day in recorded history, with many locations across the autonomous community breaking the 45°C (113°F) mark.

Valencia Airport, also known as Manises Airport, is the tenth-busiest Spanish airport in terms of passengers and second in the Valencian Community after Alicante. It is situated 8 km west of the city of Valencia, in Manises.
