Emirates flight was forced to divert to Glasgow after trying to land at London Heathrow.

Flight #EK29 from Dubai to London Heathrow was supposed to land at 14:25 BST.

The Airbus A380 attempted to land runway 27L but was forced to go around due to strong wind from South-West.

The same occurred on second attempt 15 minutes later.

The pilots took the decision de divert all the way to Glasgow in order to find more favorable weather conditions.

The plane (reg. A6-EOW) landed in Glasgow one hour later.

Heathrow Airport cancelled the runway alternation today at 15:00. Due to strong winds, hangars located close to the northern runway can cause turbulence to landing aircraft. So flights are landing on runway 27L.

The aircraft finally landed at London Heathrow from Glasgow at 19:55 BST.
