An Air Canada aircraft escaped a large scale fire after a ground vehicles caught fire.
Montreal firefighters were called to the grounds of the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Airport Sunday afternoon after a fire erupted on the tarmac.
The Boeing 777-300 was at the gate at Montreal-pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport (YUL) on Sunday Afternoon.
The aircraft (reg. C-FITL) arrived from Geneva, Switzerland and was being serviced for her next flight.
The plane is currently off-line for maintenance inspection. An investigation has been opened into the incident.
