A Spirit Airlines passenger has been charged with felony assault and harassment for punching a woman, allegedly because the woman’s children didn’t stop kicking the back of her seat.

Daydrena Jaslin Walker-Wiliams was arrested at Portland International Airport. She pulled her luggage from an overhead bin and then punched Nataly Hernandez 2 to 3 times in her face, leaving Hernandez with a bloodied lip and lumps on her head.

Hernandez’s two children, aged 7 and 3 years old repeatedly kicked back of Williams’ seat, and she even told Ms Hernandez to tell her kids to stop it. However, Williams stated that Hernandez ignored her and later hit her on the shoulder.

According to the affidavit, the flight attendants reported witnessing the assault and said the woman did not fight back and they didn’t see her hitting Williams in the shoulder. In response, Williams said:

“You do what you got to do.”

Walker-Williams has been charged by the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office with felony assault and harassment.
