Air Transat breaks record flying 7600km from Montreal to Athens on an Airbus A321LR

Air Transat operated the longest Airbus A321 commercial flight from Montreal Pierre Elliott Trudeau Airport, Canada to Athens, Greece on Monday.

The flight TS690 touched down in Athens at 7:45 am on Monday, having covered 7,652 km. This one-time transatlantic flight was operated by an Airbus A321LR.

The scheduled flight time was nine hours and five minutes, but the aircraft completed the flight within eight hours and 20 minutes. Airbus celebrated this event on its social media channels.

This flight was operated by a four months old aircraft with registration C-GOIO. The aircraft was delivered to Air Transat earlier in July this year.

The aircraft was assembled in Hamburg and is configured in a two-class configuration with 12 premium economy seats and 187 economy seats.
