For the first time ever an Etihad Airways cargo plane from the UAE has landed tonight at Ben Gurion airport in Israel after a direct flight from Abu-Dhabi.
Israel and the UAE don’t have diplomatic relations or direct flights. In recent years, the countries have engaged in extensive unofficial cooperation based on their joint opposition to Iran’s nuclear program and its regional terrorism.

The Etihad Airways plane carrying humanitarian assistance to the Palestinian Authority and Gaza –mainly equipment for the coronavirus crisis, is white, without the company logo.
