A spokesman for the airport said the base closures will not mean flights will be stopped to the destinations, but will mean local flight and cabin crew won’t be based there.
Despite the move, the carrier says there will be no cuts to current flight schedules.
The bases due for closure are in Palma, Gran Canaria and Tenerife while Stewart and Providence in the US are also up for the chop.
It will also shut its 737 base in Fiumicino airport in Rome, although its Dreamliner base will continue to operate there.
