NEWS Ryanair furious due to a new ATC strike in France

(AW) Ryanair was the highest scoring of the large carriers in the TPA rankings, and seventh overall. Airline rankings reveal conflicting trends in early stages of rebound The overall outlook appears to be brightening for the airline industry, raising hopes that a new upward cycle is beginning. But look below the surface, and a much more complex—and in some cases troubling—picture emerges.

Ryanair has called again on the European Commission to take action to prevent the skies over Europe being closed once more by French air traffic controllers’ union strikes, targeting the European Championships. Ryanair has been forced to cancel 44 flights on Tuesday, to/from and over France, in what will be the 50th French strike since 2009, and tenth in the past 12 weeks.
