Air Astana increased its operating profit by 115 per cent to $23.9 million in the first half of 2015. Net profit was $8.3 million, versus a loss of $36.4 million in the first half of 2014 – largely the result of a book loss following a local currency devaluation. At the same time passenger numbers increased by four per cent to 1.82 million.
