Swiftair announces that the company’s MD-83 aircraft operated for Air Algeria which
departed Burkina Faso at 0117Z (GMT) destined for Algiers, with an expected arrival
time at 0510Z, has not arrived at its destination. We do not have contact with the
aircraft at this time.
On board were 110 passengers and 6 crew: 2 pilots and 4 cabin crew.
At this time the company’s emergency team and staff are working to verify what took
place, and will issue further information as new details emerge.
