Two people have been killed in a light plane crash at a farmstay on New South Wales’ northern tablelands.
(ABC News) |
Emergency services were called to the River Glen B&B Farmstay at Dundee about 10:30am on Sunday.
The 51-year-old male pilot and his 55-year-old female passenger were the only people on board the plane and both died at the scene, police said.
The pair had been staying at the property, north of Glen Innes, which has two private airstrips for microlight aircraft.
The ABC understands they were friends of the owners of the Nine Mile Road property, which also hosts farm activities and fishing tours for those staying in the homestead-style accommodation.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
