An Azimuth Airlines flight from Moscow was forced to return after it lost its right engine cowling on takeoff.
An Azimuth Airlines Sukhoi Superjet 100-95B has lost its right engine cowling on departure from Moscow Vnukovo International Airport.
The aircraft (registration RA-89120) departed VKO Airport Sunday 15 June 2025 in the morning to Batumi and stopped the climb at around 9,000 feet when pilots noticed the incident.
The flight A47053 descended to 4,000 feet and circled for one hour to reduce its fuel level before returning to Vnukovo International Airport
