IndiGo flight from New Delhi encountered a sudden hailstorm damaging the nose cone.

The flight 6E2142 departed New Delhi to Srinagar and was cruising at 36,000 feet when then A321-200 (registration VT-IMD) encountered a severe hailstorm.

As passengers were screaming on board, pilots tried to change course and turned right on descent to avoid the heavy hailstorm.

The aircraft landed safely in Srinagar 1hour and 15 minutes after departure. All 227 passengers are safe after experiencing this terrifying experience.

I had a narrow escape while flying from Delhi to Srinagar. Flight number #6E2142. Hats off to the captain for the safe landing.@IndiGo6E pic.twitter.com/tNEKwGOT4q
