A flight to La Reunion island turned around over Switzerland and returned to Paris.
Air France flight AF652 departed Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport at 17:49 CEST to Saint Denis, on the Reunion Island.
The Boeing 777-300ER (registration F-GZNG) departed from runway 26R and climbed to 31,000 feet then turned around over Switzerland about 45 minutes after departure due to a technical issue.
The 16-year-old aircraft landed back at CDG Airport on the same runway 1 hour and 40 minutes after takeoff.
The airline is rescheduling a new departure at 23:00 for a landing at 12:00 tomorrow.
