The easyJet flight U22033 departed Manchester,UK at 18:43 BST to Alicante, Spain. The Airbus A321neo (registration G-UZMH) was cruising at 39,000 ft when pilots declared an emergency.
While the squawk was switched to 7700 (general emergency) the flight turned around over the English Channel due to a medical emergency on board.
