Pilots of an Airbus A321 have declared an emergency on approach to Porto Airport.

The TAP flight TP212 departed late from Newark Tuesday, June 10 2025 at 22:53 EDT for a scheduled flight time of 6 hours and 45 minutes.

Pilots declared a general emergency (squawk 7700) likely to require priority landing in Porto.

The flight is operated by an Airbus A321neo long range (registration CS-TXD) offering 171 seats (Business Class: 16 flat-bed seats, EconomyXtra: 48 seats with extra legroom, Economy: 107 standard seats)

TAP Air Portugal offers direct flights between Portugal and Newark Liberty (EWR) from both Lisbon (LIS) and Porto (OPO).
