A flight from Dallas Fort Worth International Airport to Bogota has declared an emergency and turned around over Golf of Mexico.
Avianca flight AV189 departed Dallas Fort Worth International Airport today at 14:48 CDT for a flight to Bogota.
But just one hour into the flight, the crew of the Airbus A319 (registration N422AV) declared an emergency (squawk 7700).
While cruising at 37,000 feet, the pilots made a turn around and contacted ATC to reuquire an immediate diversion.
The A319 descended to 10,000 feet and maintained the altitude, likely due to a pressurization issue.
