Turkish Airlines #TK204 Flight from Seattle to Istanbul is making an emergency landing at New York JFK Airport following serious medical situation of the captain.

A Turkish Airlines flight is making an emergency landing at New York JFK after the Captain suddenly fell ill.

The Airbus A350-900 (registration TC-LGR) departed Seattle at 18:52 PDT. The crew decided to divert while cruising over Northern Canada at 05:53 UTC.

According to source, the Captain of the Turkish Airlines Airbus A350 aircraft flying from Seattle to Istanbul has died.

The Captain Pilot of our Airbus 350 type aircraft with the tail registration TC-LGR, operating the flight number TK204 from Seattle to Istanbul, fainted during the flight.

The pilot said to ATC “Initially we had 3 pilots but we’ve lost one of our captains, this is why we are diverting to JFK”.

The airline said the first medical intervention to the captain was ineffective and despite the decision to make an emergency landing, the captain lost his life before landing.

The flight #TK204 has landed on runway 04R at New York JFK, 3 hours after the medical incident on board.
