It climbed to 32,000 ft and while over Scotland, the pilots turned left and declared an emergency.
The aircraft is a 17 years old Airbus A330-200 (reg. PH-AOE).
The flight started descent to 15,000 ft heading to Manchester then climbed to 27,000 ft heading to Amsterdam.
