On 22nd October, a JetBlue Airbus A321 suffered a major mishap at New York JFK, with the aircraft tipping its tail on the stand.

The Airbus A321-231 with registration N959JB had arrived from Bridgetown (BGI) as flight B6662. However, while it was parked at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), the aircraft tipped on its tail.

According to reports, the 2015-built aircraft was being unloaded or loaded, and the aircraft tipped backward, which could have been down to poor weight distribution.

However, the extent of the damage following this incident is unknown and the aircraft is expected to be grounded while the checks and repairs take place.
