LOT Polish Airlines Boeing 787 flight #LO1097 returned to Warsaw after dumping fuel

LOT flight #LO1097 experienced a technical issue.

The flight #LO1097 from Warsaw to Seoul was supposed to be a 11-hour flight but the aircraft had to return.

Shortly after departure from Warsaw, the Boeing 787-8 stopped its climb and started to circle for 40 minutes.

The crew of the aircraft (reg. SP-LRB) was unable to retract the nose landing gear.

The flight held 17,000ft altitude and started to dump fuel in order to reduce the weight for a safe landing.

According to data, tt landed back in Warsaw Chopin Airport 1h46 after takeoff.
