Strange way to celebrate the new year!

Two Middle East Airlines planes were hit by stray bullets yesterday evening, Saturday, at midnight at Beirut International Airport.

Bullets were fired during the New Year’s celebrations.

According to the information, the two Airbus 321neo aircraft (reg. T7-ME9 and T7-ME2) were towed to the hangar for repair, after they were damaged by bullets.

No injuries were reported during the incident.

It is note worthy that a similar incident occurred a few weeks ago, when a Middle East Airlines plane that was coming from Jordan to Beirut was hit by a stray bullet while it was landing at the airport, without any injuries being recorded.
