Yesterday evening, Eastern Airways flight T39634 declared emergency whilst on approach into Leeds Bradford Airport.

Jesse Marsch and his Whites side were returning from London after a 2-1 defeat at Crystal Palace when the incident took place.

The Eastern Airlines flight had Leeds United Football team onboard. Flight T39634 was descending into the airport when the pilots reported smoke in the cockpit.

The AT76 from London’s Biggin Hill Airport continued descent into the airport and arrived safely into runway 14. Fire services met the aircraft on arrival.

Other flights inbound to the airport were forced to hold over the airport and divert to alternate airports.
