A regional jet went off a runway Wednesday evening at the Dayton International Airport, briefly shutting it down.
Air Wisconsin Flight 3818 to Dayton from Washington, D.C., operating for United Airlines, went off the runway just after 7 p.m., said Linda Hughes, air service manager for the airport.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the jet ran off the side of the runway while landing, causing minor damage to the left wing.
The aircraft involved is a Bombardier CRJ200 regional jet, which seats 50 people, though the OSHP said there were a total of 45 people aboard, including three crew members.
There were no reported injuries, Hughes said, adding, “It was a blessing that everyone was fine.”
Passengers were loaded onto buses to carry them to the terminal, Hughes said.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to the airport to investigate, aided by the Dayton International Airport Police Department, Dayton International Airport Fire Department and the Federal Aviation Administration.
