An Aerosucre Boeing 737 suffered takeoff failure and could not climb as expected after takeoff from Puerto Carreno as one of its engines showed overheat indications.

The Boeing 737-200, with registration HK-5192, was climbing out of Puerto Carreno to Bogota (Colombia) when it lost thrust and was unable to gain altitude. The crew continued takeoff and avoided trees, power lines and houses only by meters.

The 37.4 years old aircraft reportedly hit the top of some trees located past the end of the runway outside the airport. The crew managed to make a safe landing a few minutes later.

A video shared on the internet shows the aircraft slightly avoiding the nearby trees, wires and houses.

The cargo airline is being reviewed in all aspects, including technical, climatic, human, operational and other multiple aspects.
