ALERT BAe Jetstream 31 suffered runway excursion at Roatan Airport, almost falling over the water

A LANHSA BAe Jetstream 31 sustained substantial damage in a runway excursion at Juan Manuel Gálvez International Airport in Roatan.

The British Aerospace BAe-3101 Jetstream 31, with registration HR-AYY, landed at Roatan but shortly, its right-hand main gear collapsed, resulting in the runway excursion.

The aircraft came to rest on an uneven terrain off the runway and was close to falling over the water. All passengers and crew members disembarked unhurt.

The airport rescue teams and file unit came to support those on board, as well as to cool down the aircraft due to the possibility of catching fire after the excursion.
