A British Airways Airbus A350 sustained damage to its tailstrike while landing at Heathrow Airport.
The Airbus A350-1000, with registration G-XWBC, was performing flight BA-104 from Dubai International Airport to London Heathrow Airport when it sustained a tailstrike during its approach to Heathrow’s runway 27L.
The crew then decided to go around before positioning and safely land on Heathrow’s runway 27R some 15 minutes after making the first approach.
All landing traffic was temporarily diverted from runway 27L to runway 27R.
The airport’s emergency services met the aircraft as a precaution.
