A United Express Embraer ERJ-145LR sustained damage during an engine runup event at Kingman Airport in Arizona.

The Embraer ERJ-145 with registration N16911 was involved in the incident on 22nd December. One person on the ground was seriously injured after the aircraft surged ahead during the engine test, hitting two ground vehicles.

The aircraft was blocked and connected to a tug. However, one of the Kingman Aviation Services employees wasn’t sure about the brakes. The company was reportedly doing a full power run-up at that time.

According to the employee, the aircraft moved ahead, colliding with 2 KSAI owned vehicles and even crushed the legs of his fellow employee.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) NTSB will not investigate this incident as the aircraft wasn’t in preparation for flight.
