One of the tires of a Royal Air Maroc Boeing 737 caught fire on landing at Oujda-Angad Airport earlier this week. The fire broke out from the left main landing gear immediately after the aircraft touched down on Oujda-Angad’s runway 06.
The Royal Air Moroc Boeing 737-800, with registration CN-RNP, was operating a domestic flight AT-1400 from Casablanca to Oujda when the incident took place.
The pilots applied the reverse thrust and stopped as soon as possible on the runway. No injuries were reported, and neither any material damage was reported.

The Boeing 737-800 involved in this incident was delivered to the airline back in February 2000 and is currently 21.5 years old.
