REPORT Thai A350 that descended too low on approach to Frankfurt Airport on January 1st

German investigators have detailed an approach incident at Frankfurt Main.

The flight was conducted in accordance with instrument flight rules from Phuket Airport, Thailand to Frankfurt/Main Airport.

It was a scheduled passenger flight. During the approach to runway 07R the minimum altitude was undershot and a go-around procedure conducted. At 1945 hrs the airplane landed on runway 07R.

German investigators have detailed an approach incident in which a Thai Airways Airbus A350-900 descended to less than 670ft while still nearly 6.5nm (12km) from touchdown at Frankfurt Main.
