On departure from Luqa, the Airbus A319-112 (reg. 9H-AEJ) suffered birdstrike.
Air Malta flight KM100, was scheduled to leave Malta International Airport at 7.20am, with the bird strike take placing upon its departure.
The pilots safely aborted the take-off and slowed down on runway 13.
Malta International Airport said the aircraft then returned to the airport for the necessary inspections.
