Bangladesh main international airport was temporarily closed after Thai Airways flight from Bangkok to Dhaka skidded off runway.
According to sources, the flight TG321 from the south at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport burst tyres and skidded on the main runway, blocking take-off and landing of all scheduled flights.
The incident occurred at 12:20pm. The aircraft remains stranded at the airport main runway (until 2:30pm) and efforts are underway to remove the Thai aircraft safely to the parking bay.
Meanwhile, all the passengers have been safely removed from Thai Boeing 777 and taken to the main terminal.
