BREAKING Pegasus flight #PC8622 overran the runway at Trabzon Airport, Turkey and almost fell into the sea

A Pegasus Boeing 737-800 on flight #PC8622 overran the runway during landing at Trabzon Airport in Turkey.

After overrunning runway 11 at the airport, the Boeing 737 slid downhill towards the Black Sea with 168 passengers and crew on board.

The Crew was able to safely evacuate the Boeing 737.

Trabzon Governor Yucel Yavuz said that all of the passengers and crew on board had escaped. Turkish media reports that 11 passengers suffered minor injuries and were brought into hospital.

The aircraft with registration TC-CPF was flying from Ankara (ESB) to Trabzon (TZX), the accident occurred at around 20:25 UTC (23:25 local time).

It was raining and the runway was wet during landing. The aircraft had troubles with slowing down on the runway, according to the flight path it had a speed of 110 knots (204km/h, 127mph) on the last third of the runway.
