BREAKING Bristol Airport (UK) closed after Embraer 145 incident

After landing at Bristol Airport at 11.36 this morning an Embraer 145 inbound from Frankfurt (flight number BM1822) left the runway while taxiing.

Passengers were disembarked and returned to the terminal by coach. None of the 25 people on board were hurt.

UPDATE 23:40 UTC The aircraft was removed and the runway is open.

UPDATE 18:30 UTC The runway remains closed whilst the aircraft is removed before flights can resume. The runway is now unlikely to reopen until 21.00h this evening at the earliest.

UPDATE 14:00 UTC The runway remains closed while information is gathered to aid investigation of the incident. The aircraft will then need to be towed to a stand and any debris cleared from the runway before flights can resume.

UPDATE 13:00 UTC The runway is currently closed as a result of the earlier incident.

All passengers are advised to contact their airline to obtain the latest flight information.
