A passenger of an IndiGo flight opened an emergency exit of the plane moments before the flight was to take-off at Mumbai airport. A passenger was injured in the incident.
The passenger has been arrested. The plane was about to take off from Mumbai to Chandigarh with over 170 passengers.
“Taking a precautionary measure, the captain immediately informed the ground staff about the situation on board and instructed the team to arrange for medical assistance and other necessary action” the airline said in a statement.
