A Delta Airlines flight travelling from New York City to Reykjavik, Iceland, made an unscheduled stop in Happy Valley-Goose Bay on Wednesday.
Flight 446, carrying 183 passengers, stopped at Canadian Forces Base Goose Bay for more than eight hours Wednesday after landing at the base at about 4 a.m. ET due to deteriorating weather conditions in Iceland.
The plane eventually left the runway at about 1:30 p.m. ET.
