Madrid Barajas airport issued a general alarm on Thursday morning after the captain of Saudi Airlines Boeing 777 flight SV226 reported an unspecified threat on boad.
The passengers had been evacuated.
The Civil Guard confirmed the threat had been found by the crew “on a note written in English pinned with a knife to a monitor” on board the aircraft. The note said that “there is a bomb”.
