A flight from Birmingham to New York city was forced to make an emergency landing last night after chemical weapon threats.
American Airlines was notified that its flight 131 from Birmingham was among the planes mentioned in the threats, but the flight landed without incident.
Threats were made against at least six flights landing at airports in the New York area including flight Air France AF22, escorted by F15 fighters.
