The International Air Transport Association reported November 2014 data for global air freight markets showing that demand measured in freight tonne kilometers grew 4.2 per cent compared to November 2013. Capacity grew by 3.3 per cent over the previous November. Compared to October 2014, air freight demand expanded by a healthy 0.8 per cent.
Investigators searching for the wreckage of AirAsia flight QZ8501 have located the tail of the crashed plane in the Java Sea. Indonesian officials confirmed it had been located in a secondary search area after an extensive search, suggesting debris has been moved by strong underwater currents.
Boeing and Air New Zealand have finalised an order for two additional 787-9 Dreamliners, valued at $514 million at current list prices.
